What it is

Bay leaves have carried wishes since ancient Greece, where they were sacred to Apollo. In this little ritual you'll write a single desire on a bay leaf, hold it while you feel the wish as already true, then release it — traditionally by burning it safely outdoors, or right here with a tap that dissolves it into stardust. The burning isn't the magic; the letting go is. You state it, you feel it, you release it.

How to practise it

  1. Choose one wish and reduce it to a few potent words.
  2. Write it on a bay leaf, or type it on screen if you're leaf-less.
  3. Hold the leaf and feel the wish as already real for three slow breaths.
  4. Release it: burn it safely outdoors, or tap Release and watch it dissolve.
  5. Thank the wish, then genuinely move on with your day.

Make it land

  • Fire needs respect: a fireproof dish, outdoors, water within reach.
  • One leaf, one wish — bundling several dilutes the ritual's clarity.

Two Cup Method

Ritual·10 min·medium

A playful ritual borrowed from quantum-jumping folklore. You'll label one cup with your current situation and a second with the reality you're choosing, feel the difference between them, then pour water from the first cup into the second and drink it with full intention. The pouring is a physical metaphor your imagination can grab onto: same water, new container. Silly? A little. Memorable? Completely — and memorable rituals are the ones that shift attention.

Charged Water

Ritual·5 min·easy

Inspired by traditions that treat water as a carrier of intention, this five-minute ritual turns an ordinary glass of water into a small ceremony. You'll hold the glass, speak or silently state your intention into it, take a moment to feel gratitude as if it's already done, then drink slowly. Whatever you believe about water's memory, the practice reliably does one thing: it makes you pause, focus, and physically take your intention in.

New Moon Intentions

Ritual·15 min·easy

The new moon — the dark, quiet start of the lunar cycle — has long been treated as nature's fresh page. This ritual gives your month a deliberate beginning: you'll clear a little space, reflect on what's ending, and write intentions for the cycle ahead as if planting seeds you trust to grow. Whether you see the moon as energy or simply as a beautiful recurring calendar, a monthly intention-setting rhythm keeps your dreams actively tended.
