Lunifest is offline-first: your practice data never leaves your device. Here is exactly what that means, in plain English.
Last updated 3 August 2026
The short version
Lunifest has no accounts, no server and no cloud. Everything you write, record, save or track — journal entries, statements, vision-board images, streaks, favourites — is stored **only on your device**, in a local database. We cannot read it, because it is never sent to us.
The one exception is advertising, which needs an internet connection. That is described in full below.
What we collect
**Nothing that identifies you.** We do not ask for your name, email address or phone number. There is no sign-up and no login, so there is no account for us to hold.
**We operate no servers of our own.** Lunifest does not transmit your practice content anywhere.
What stays on your device
- Your written entries — scripting, revision, letters, gratitude, WOOP, focus wheel
- Your statements and repetition counts for the 369, 55×5 and 33×3 methods
- Vision-board images you add from your photo library
- Voice recordings you make for own-voice affirmations
- Streaks, session history, favourites and technique progress
- Your settings, including theme and reminder times
Uninstalling the app deletes all of it. There is no second copy anywhere.
Permissions, and why each one exists
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Notifications | To deliver the practice reminders you schedule yourself |
| Microphone | Only while you are recording an own-voice affirmation. Recordings stay on the device |
| Photos / media | Only when you pick an image for your vision board. Images stay on the device |
| Internet, network state | Required by the advertising SDKs described below |
| Wake lock | Keeps the screen on during a timed session so it does not sleep mid-practice |
| Run at startup | Re-registers your scheduled reminders after the device restarts |
We ask for each of these at the moment it is needed. Declining a permission only disables the feature that needs it — the rest of the app keeps working.
Advertising
Lunifest is free and supported by ads, served by **Google AdMob** and **AppLovin MAX**.
Ads are requested as **non-personalised by default**. In the EEA and the UK we show Google's consent screen (UMP) before any ad loads, and your choice is respected on every subsequent request.
To serve ads, these providers may process device-level data such as an advertising identifier, approximate (coarse) location derived from your IP address, and basic device information. This is handled by them under their own policies, not by us:
- Google AdMob — policies.google.com/privacy
- AppLovin — applovin.com/privacy
You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in your device settings.
Children
Lunifest is not directed at children and is not designed for use by anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Analytics
We do not run any analytics, tracking or attribution SDK. We do not build a profile of you, and we do not sell data — we hold none to sell.
Your rights
Because your practice data lives only on your device, you exercise your rights directly:
- **Access and portability** — Settings → Export exports everything as a JSON file you own
- **Erasure** — Settings → Delete all data wipes the local database, or simply uninstall the app
- **Advertising** — reset or delete your advertising ID in device settings; in the EEA/UK you can
- also change your consent choice
We cannot delete data on your behalf, because we never receive it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page and note it in the app's release notes.
