What it is

Scripting is journaling from the other side of your wish. You'll write a diary entry from your future self — dated whenever you like — describing a day where your desire has already come true. Instead of 'I want', you write 'I woke up in...', 'I can't believe how...'. The magic is in the sensory detail and the gratitude: the more real the page feels, the more familiar the future becomes, and familiar futures feel reachable.

How to practise it

  1. Settle somewhere comfortable and pick the future moment you want to write from.
  2. Date your entry in the future and open with an ordinary detail — waking up, coffee, light.
  3. Describe your day with your wish already fulfilled, in vivid present tense.
  4. Layer in sensory details: what you see, hear, wear, taste, and feel.
  5. Weave gratitude through the entry — 'I'm so thankful that...' keeps it warm.
  6. Close the entry naturally and sit for a moment inside the feeling you created.

Make it land

  • Write ordinary moments, not just highlights — mundane detail makes the future believable.
  • If doubt creeps in, shrink the timeline: script tomorrow instead of next year.
